Counselors’ Corner

6th Grade
Happy June, all! I am so proud of all the accomplishments you have made this COVID-19 school year! We have two weeks and two days left of the 2020/2021 school year. I have enjoyed working alongside you to collaborate and support your scholar! If scholars have questions with regards to the Next project, please reach out to your grade level counselor and we will direct you towards the right staff to answer your questions. Please know the school counseling team will be working over the summer in preparation for the 2021/2022 school year. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out. Thank you for allowing me to be your scholar’s school counselor!

Greatness,
Mario A Giamporcaro (Mr. MG)

It is amazing how quickly this school year has flown by. I have enjoyed getting to know our seventh grade scholars. As the school year winds down, please know that the counseling team will be in the school during part of the summer working on scholars’ schedules prior to the new school year. If you have any questions that we can assist with, please do not hesitate to reach out. And, if you would like your child to participate in summer academy, which will be held at Admiral Richard E. Byrd MS in July, please let me know.

Regards,
Steve Waters

And…...we’ve almost made it to the end of the school year - Yippee!

End of the school year projects are in full swing. I love seeing all the great things FCMS 8th grade scholars are producing. When I ask if they’re excited to go to high school, I always get the look of fear and excitement all in the same look. Always remember the high school counselors are there to help at any time.

Speaking of high school - CAMP WOOD is planned for the following dates:

Monday 8/2/21 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Monday 8/9/21 from 9:00 AM - Noon
Tuesday 8/3/21 from 9:00 AM - Noon
Tuesday 8/10/21 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

A student only needs to attend one session, as they are all the same. Please use the following link to register for a date:
