Ten FCMS band students competed to earn a seat in the All-District Band.  This is an All-Star Band that will meet and perform in February this year.

In order to audition, the students had to memorize five major scales and one HUGE chromatic scale.  That means they had to play just about every note that they learn on their instrument here in middle school…by memory.  They also had to prepare a solo selection AND play a song that they had NEVER seen before!  All the points are counted and the students are placed in order of who earns the best scores on their playing.

BIG CONGRATS to seven of our own FCMS band students, who earned a place in this All-Star Band!

Congratulations to Rebecca Clouse, the NUMBER ONE clarinet player in our District!

Congratulations to Will Swatman, the NUMBER ONE tuba player in our District!

Congratulations to Jax Bell, the NUMBER ONE snare drum player in our District!

Congratulations to Marisol Contreras, the NUMBER TWO baritone player in our District!

Congratulations to Logan McKay, the NUMBER THREE tuba player in our District!

Congratulations to Paige Hughes, the NUMBER FIVE flute player in our District!

Congratulations to Marissa Clouse, the NUMBER EIGHT trumpet player in our District!

Ms. Hofmann is so VERY proud of all who auditioned.  EVERYONE either made the All-Star band, or was listed as an alternate for the band!  Joshua Rivas, Zack Daily-Anderson, and Gabe Stanton were all listed as alternates.  Congratulations on a job well done, band students!!!
